JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for collaborating with vendor partners to build and maintain strong relationships, acquire essential data and samples, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our database and sample library. The successful candidate will contribute to the seamless flow of information within our organization, supporting data-driven processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively maintain and strengthen relationships with vendor partners.
- Collaborate with vendor partners to secure necessary data and samples.
- Accurately maintain specification and pricing information within the database.
- Manage the import and export of large datasets into the database.
- Conduct data reconciliation on product data from diverse sources.
- Utilize data management software for organizing and managing extensive datasets.
- Research and compile insights on manufacturers, products, and industry trends.
- Conduct research and support data analysis projects.
- Analyze, monitor, and validate data to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Work closely with customer experience department in addressing inquiries related to product data.
- Support team in creation of accurate and compelling product information, including product descriptions, specifications, user guides, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and marketing collateral.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- Two (2) years of job-related experience required flooring industry experience a plus
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Must have a high level of proficiency with Excel
- Able to interact with multiple levels of employees as well as external vendors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
PREFERRED
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data tools such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with data reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with data management systems
- Able to travel out of state occasionally – up to 2 nights, 2-4 times per year
