Sample Prep Associate

JOB SUMMARY

The Sample Prep Associate is responsible for preparing samples for individual testing and maintaining machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly dries wet samples, stamps/cuts each sample to specifications.
• Correctly weighs each sample and determines if it can be analyzed.
• Catalogues all test samples.
• Works efficiently and effectively to ensure all samples are prepped for analysis.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment as needed.
• Works with Team Lead to ensure optimum workflow.
• Assists and supports other departments areas as needed.
• Maintains a safe and orderly work environment

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of related job experience
• Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks
• Effective problem solving
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

PREFERRED

• Mechanical vocational training or equivalent military training.

WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USE

• Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment - not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent use of office machines to include telephone, computer, and printer
