Job Description / Requirements:
- Over time, develop continuous improvement methodology and implement improvements jointly with department leaders. Provides technical leadership for continuous improvement projects for improvements in efficiency, scrap, speeds, quality, and safety
- Implements audits throughout the supply chain, ensuring quality standards, safety and legal requirements, and company policies and specifications are met
- Maintains, audits, and updates as needed standard operating procedures, ensuring process conditions and measurements are defined, documented, and shared with operators
- Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve standard repairs, process controls, and inspection methods
- Analyzes, reviews, and approves manufacturing engineering policies, processes, documentation, and operations
- Plan, document and execute the maintenance of the equipment at the company's location
- Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors
- Working closely with IT and support on-site if needed
- Prepares and implements the departmental budget.
- Project management of large and complex customer projects on the design and manufacturing level
- Design item solutions for internal use with Company's CAD system or configurator and assembly internal equipment if needed
- Regular visit to Company's locations if needed
- Direct report to the Director of Operations Hagerstown.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering or related field required
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and project management
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Analytic skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment
- Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
