Iten Defense, LLC manufactures a broad line of advanced composite armor products that are used by our customers for personal protection, military vehicles, watercraft and aircraft.
Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving role is responsible for receiving, verifying, and documenting material received and finished product sent to customers. Shipping and receiving will be responsible for moving raw materials to assigned locations, receiving parts, equipment, or other goods and documenting in the central computer system.
Responsibilities
· Assists inventory department to receive materials from suppliers and stock the material in the appropriate location
· Updates the internal website with locations of each raw material lot and work order moved.
· Coordinate ship outs and transfer of all materials between Iten Defense locations.
· Assist the manager(s)/supervisor(s) with various duties to ensure the completion of work orders within the department and records are correct.
· Understands responsibilities according to ISO procedures and can retrieve procedures and work instructions, as necessary.
· Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items received.
· Checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and Director of Operations or Director of Program Management.
· Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
· Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, damage, and returnable pallets.
· Maintains the data in the ERP to ensure customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
· Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
· Prepares bills of lading and tickets for shipments.
· Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
· Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
· Performs other clerical duties as required.
Education & Experience
· High School diploma or GED preferred
· Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.
· Must have an active and valid driver’s license in good standing with the State of Ohio.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
