Stove Technician

Ithaca Stoveworks is looking to hire a detail-oriented technician to maintain and repair stoves and fireplaces. As a Stove Technician, you will be skilled in chimney cleaning, repairing and maintaining gas, wood and pellet stoves, and fireplaces. Reporting to the Service Manager, your core mechanical knowledge will be essential in diagnosing issues and executing repairs. Your premium skills in appliance repair and schematics will support your efforts in troubleshooting complex problems. Additionally, your relevant experience in customer service and field service will enhance client interactions, while your proficiency with power tools will ensure efficient and safe operations. Requirements &Responsibilities:

-Examining customers fireplaces & identifying the cause of appliance breakdowns

-Performing maintenance work on customer fireplaces

-Repairing or replacing defective or damaged fireplace/stove components upon

approval from customer

-Advising customers on how to use fireplaces/stoves correctly

-Installing various parts for customers such as pilot assemblies, control bows and many

others

-Maintaining an accurate record of all items/parts used to repair, replace or maintain

appliance

-The ability to use various hand and power tools

-Excellent problem solving skills

-Exceptional customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
