What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver/Automotive Mechanic position at Ithaca City School District?
Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for a full-time Bus Driver / Automotive Mechanic with full benefits. This position involves the operation of an automotive vehicle used to transport students and / or passengers and the efficient performance of a variety of automotive repair and machinist tasks.
Typical work may include but is not limited to the following :
- Performs skilled operations in making general repairs on gasoline and diesel motor equipment;
- Grinds valves and fits new bearing, pistons and rings;
- Assembles and times engines;
- Operates a bus on a regular schedule and / or on special trips;
- Checks operating condition of the bus before starting trip;
- Maintains orderly conduct of students and passengers while on bus;
- Related work as required.
