Current clerk or on Civil Service eligible list preferred
Location is a shared position, 50% at Lake Avenue Elementary and 50% at Caroline Street Elementary.
Lake Avenue - Monday morning, Tuesday and Wednesday full day / Caroline Street - Monday afternoon, Thursday and Friday full day)
- Selected candidate must be in title or on the approved Clerk Civil Service list; if not, the candidate will be appointed provisionally and be required to take the exam once announced and score in the top three
- Working knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other clerical software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to get along well with others
- Clerical aptitude, mental alertness, neatness, accuracy, tact and courtesy
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Able to collaborate, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Have a positive attitude, team player, friendly and customer service oriented
- Must enjoy working with children
- 10-month position
- Salary per the CSEA contract
