Network Systems Manager

Network Systems Manager Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time Network Systems Manager (Civil service title : IT Manager) to support Questar III and component school districts. This position will be based in Coxsackie, NY. The incumbent will be required to analyze and diagnose network and server infrastructure problems. Research, install, and maintain new computer network hardware / software systems and train users on new software and equipment. This position proactively communicates alerts, notices, and announcements. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and experience supporting a complex network environment. The incumbent will do other IT-related work as required.

Responsibilities :

1. Network Infrastructure Management :

• Design, implement, and manage the school's network and VOIP infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Experience with Cisco VOIP Systems (CUCM, CUC, and Voice Gateways) and Informacast Fusion Emergency Notification System is preferred.
• Monitor and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Experience with HPE Aruba and Cisco Meraki is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and EITHER :

A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees, with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field and two years of work experience involving responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, or installation of computer hardware and software in LAN and WAN based environments; OR

B) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees, with an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field and four years of work experience involving responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, or installation of computer hardware and software in LAN and WAN based environments; OR

Estimated Salary Range : $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
