Job Summary :
Reporting to the Executive Director of Gift Planning, the Development Associate for Gift Planning Administration works independently and also collaboratively with Department of Development team members and other gift officers to effectively document and administer all life-income gift plans, charitable bequests, and other complex asset / non-traditional gift structures. The Development Associate provides administrative support to the Executive Director, Gift Planning including management of calendar, travel, credit card reconciliation, and other duties as assigned. This position will manage execution of external communications from the Office of Gift Planning, and will oversee distribution of responses received to appropriate staff within the Department of Development. The Development Associate works collaboratively with Office of Donor Relations to promote effective stewardship for new and existing Founder's Circle members. The Development Associate is a key external contact for donors, their families and advisors. They serve as the primary contact for donor legal counsel, financial and tax advisors to provide complete and accurate information for transmission to state and federal taxing authorities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Plan, coordinate, and staff specialized opportunities to engage donors, volunteers, and others who have Gift Planning related history or have high capacity and inclination to do so.
- Assist the Executive Director in coordinating and participating in development officer training programs, volunteer engagement efforts, donor relations events, donor stewardship efforts, marketing and communications products and strategy, and event participation.
- Provide high-touch and customized stewardship of Founder's Circle members, their surviving spouses and family members. This can include travel, event attendance and participation, and other personalized outreach.
- Prepare and draft acknowledgments, proposals and routine correspondence.
- Maintain entity and prospect records in database through timely and accurate entry of reports, notes, and other information. Use database and other tools to prepare lists and reports, and compile information about individual and groups of donors or prospects.
- Coordinate travel schedule and arrangements for the Executive Director of Gift Planning.
- Monitor contracts with external vendors to support work of Office of Gift Planning.
Serve as liaison with external vendors.
Qualifications
This position is 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Hiring Range :
19.50 - $20.50 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
