What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time- Floating Teacher Assistant position at Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3)?
Do you love working with children ages 8 weeks -10 years old? The Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3) is now hiring a floating teacher assistant working with all age groups. Work Monday-Friday 11:45-5:30. Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent required. CDA or equivalent (12 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or EC Special Ed.) preferred. $16.75 - $17.75 per hour depending on education. Benefits eligible with paid holidays, paid vacation and sick.
Ideal candidate will:
- be able to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
- assist teachers with designing and implementing an age appropriate classroom/learning environment
- have the ability to appropriately and productively respond to the needs of both the children and parents in the classroom
- have team-oriented problem solving skills
- abide by OCFS regulations
- be responsible, reliable, and dependable
- have clear, direct communication style (written and verbal)
