Job Summary: The Hey Day Market Bar Crew Member is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, clean, and engaging environment for guests while providing high-quality service at various food hall stations, including bar service. This role ensures the cleanliness of communal spaces, supports vendors, and prepares and serves beverages, creating a positive and memorable dining experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of all communal spaces, seating areas, and service stations.
- Assemble workstations in a timely manner and ensure they are well-stocked.
- Ensure operating supplies are replenished throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free environment including sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Provide support to food hall vendor stalls, including POS repair and fault reporting.
- Replenish trash bins frequently to ensure a tidy environment.
- Return service trays to vendor stalls to keep each station fully equipped.
- Engage with guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and respond courteously to requests.
- Monitor guest experience and ensure satisfaction with food, beverages, and service.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Set up and stock the bar, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with service guidelines.
- Point of sale operation as required.
- Order and requisition liquor and other supplies, ensuring proper storage.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, restock glasses, and perform daily cleaning duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Triage customer or vendor concerns to the appropriate leadership.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with guests and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food hall vendors with ability to communicate effectively about offerings.
- Familiarity with bartending, including mixing drinks or strong ability to learn.
- Ability to handle transactions and learn relevant point-of-sale software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or bartending preferred.
- Training in health and safety practices related to public area cleanliness preferred.
- Certification in hospitality or housekeeping is advantageous.
- Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or related training preferred.
- Must meet legal alcohol pouring requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately in a busy environment.
- Must be able to safely maneuver trays, glassware, and other service items frequently.
