Job Overview:
- Responsible for leading the Wellness Center. Main objectives are Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction and Owner Satisfaction (Financial Success)
Key Relationships:
- Internal: Engineering, Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B.
- External: Hotel Guests, Club Members, Vendors
Specifications:
To perform this job effectively the incumbent of the position shall have at least one of three
skills:
- General fitness and/or wellness leadership experience, including solid understanding of fitness training, fitness equipment, fitness trends.
- Customer service skills, including driving customer satisfaction, problem resolution, customer acquisition.
- Financial acumen, including creating, understanding, and interpreting budgets, forecasts, P&L statements, capital expenditure.
- All members shall have the ability to perform all the technical skills and physical skills required such as heavy lifting, climbing stairs, ladders and fitting into confined spaces. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other employees, or guests.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent and Vocational background in fitness industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
- Ability to work simple mathematics calculations
- Ability to work in and around the public in a positive and professional manner
- Ability to adapt to priority changes of workflow
- Ability to think clearly under high pressure or in emergency situations
- Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to achieve positive results through Gallup Scores.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
- Certified Massage Therapist
- Certified Wellness and/or Dietary Coach
- Certified CPR and First Aid Trainer
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of the fitness industry, including trends and best practices
- Knowledge of exercise science and the human body
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience with budget management and financial planning
- Proficiency in fitness management software
Essential Job Functions:
- Staff management: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff
- Marketing: Create and implement marketing strategies to attract new members
- Sales: Sell and retain memberships
- Equipment: Maintain, repair, and ensure equipment meets safety standards
- Budgeting: Prepare and check budgets, generate income, and cash up
- Reporting: Author reports and prepare cash projections
- Customer service: Address complaints and concerns
- Health and safety: Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Facility maintenance: Ensure the facility is clean and safe
- Programs: Manage classes and trainers
Secondary Functions:
- Participate in departmental problem-solving teams during weekly and monthly meetings.
