Job Description: As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of all equipment, machinery, and facilities within the plant. You will lead a team of skilled technicians while working closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maximize the overall efficiency of operations. The role will also involve managing the department's budget, overseeing CapEx planning, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the plant's maintenance strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to ensure effective maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
- Develop, implement, and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to maximize uptime and minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment and machinery are operating at peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across various manufacturing systems.
- Work closely with production teams to align maintenance schedules with production goals and priorities.
- Take ownership of the maintenance department’s budget, ensuring that operational costs for repairs, parts, and labour are controlled effectively.
- Manage the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget, planning for significant investments in equipment, machinery upgrades, and facility improvements.
- Procure necessary materials and spare parts, ensuring the cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports for all machinery and plant assets.
- Monitor and report on key maintenance performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the building products industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and CapEx planning, with a track record of controlling costs and optimizing resources.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other maintenance management tools.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in manufacturing.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree, Technical Certifications) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
