Itron is seeking a skilled and motivated Intern to join our Documentation team to assist in creating product hardware and software documentation and managing translation. The intern will be connected to our location in West Union, SC (preferred), Raleigh, NC or Liberty Lake, WA with hybrid work flexibility.
Duration
Part-time hours during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer. Internship to begin March 2025.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage with our translation vendor and AI-based translation tools to help fulfill translation needs at Itron.
- Create, develop, plan, write, and edit English-language operational, instructional, maintenance, and test procedures. As needed, prepare the files for translation.
- Research and incorporate available engineering information such as drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications into publications.
- Interview product development teams, marketing teams, engineers, and other technical personnel to provide accurate and comprehensive information appropriate for the targeted audience.
- Use ticket-tracking and document-authoring tools and technology to access product information and push publication deliverables through the release cycle.
- Track project assignments and keep management informed of progress.
