Itron, a technology leader in the energy and smart grid sector, is seeking R/D Technicianfor our Firmware Development labto join our motivated and talented team. Thispositionwill become a key contributor in theconfiguration of complexnetwork configurations withnext generation powered devices and will help Itron continue to deliver world-class solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Soldering skills
MS Tools experience (Word, Excel..)
Bring up and runningcomplex Network Test environments in Cellular, RF,Wi-Fiand Ethernet Networks.
Bring-upand configurepowered devices like access points, relays,bridges,water, electric and gas meters
Cabling and configuring network and console links
Install,configureand maintain inventory ofdevices inrack infrastructure
Providing end-user support for infrastructure troubleshooting,diagnosis,and resolution.
Hands-on working with Linux and windows
Ability to work with HW configs or independently in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with geographically located teams
Ability to communicate well in person and over the phone
Required Skills and Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 2 yearsof related experience in Soldering and Network Configurationskills.
Basic understanding of Network structure, such as getting a PC on a network or setting up a wifi AP
Ability to install and configure software applications on PCs
Mechanically inclined
Basic understanding of AC and DC electricity and safe practices
Experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
Good communication skills
Good aptitude and attitude toward improving skills and the workplace efficiency
Ability to logically troubleshoot issues
