Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and transformation.
- Integrate new data sources and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the process.
- Design and optimize data models and database structures to support business needs.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and manipulation.
- Implement and manage big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka to handle large-scale data sets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain the necessary security clearances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Experience with data modeling, database design, and optimization.
- Additional certifications in big data technologies such as Cloudera or Hortonworks preferred.
- Current DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to government agency facilities and computer systems throughout the duration of the contract.
- Ability to work on-site at government agency locations as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
