What is a truck commander?

Our truck commanders (TC) literally drive the daily operations for our company. They are the first friendly faces that our clients meet, they ensure a job-well-done on every project, and they directly impact sales, safety, and culture in our organization.

We are expecting massive growth in 2023, and are hiring for our truck commander positions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following character traits : accepts constructive feedback, is responsible, highly motivated, critical thinker, friendly, has a "can-do" mentality, value-driven, competitive, and thrives in team environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Effectively lead a team daily while completing a designated junk removal route.

Safely remove unwanted furniture & items from clients homes.

Drive company vehicles in a safe & responsible manner.

Load / unload items, often exceeding 100 lbs, from trucks.

Create an extraordinary client experience through outstanding customer service and attention to detail.

Perform daily upkeep and procurement of equipment.

Work with team members to ensure a safe and pleasant work environment.

Occasionally perform hand-demolition of wood, metal, and other solid structures.

Provide exceptional and memorable service for clients.

Physical Demands :

Ability to lift, carry and move items weighing up to 100 lbs.

Perform physical labor, including heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy items.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Qualifications :

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check

Able to receive constructive feedback.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to think critically and problem-solve.

Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if needed.
