What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist position at ITSC Secure Solutions?
**This is a temporary position for 8-12 weeks with the possibility of becoming a permanent position**
Role:
Contractor shall assist the Division of Financial Reporting and Analysis, Loan Accounting Section transition to the new Loan Management System (LMS) and the Financial System and subsystem by (1) processing a broad range of loan accounting transactions (2) assisting with analysis and preparation of schedules used for reports (3) testing transactions and (4) maintaining loan records.
Duties:
• Process check collections for direct loans, assigned guaranteed loans and premium payments in Financial System and subsystem.
• Process accruals of interest, penalties, and administrative fees for direct and assigned guaranteed loans.
• Process IPAC collections for direct loans and assigned guaranteed loans and send receipts for collections.
• Process loans workouts in Financial System and subsystem.
• Establish amortization schedules in Financial System and subsystem.
• Provide statements to borrowers.
• Reconcile loan balances between Financial System and subsystem.
• Respond to inquiries from borrowers, lenders, program staff and other government agencies.
• Analyze complex financial data and perform complex reconciliations between Financial System and subsystem.
• Conduct daily edits, adjustments to ensure that postings are correct.
• Process write-off transactions for canceled loans and CNC loans.
• Process IPAC collections to post interest earned from Treasury on un-invested funds.
• Serve as backup to staff assigned to processing of guaranteed loans transactions.
• Analyze complex financial data and perform complex reconciliations between Financial System and subsystem.
• Analyze postings of accruals and collections related to CNC loans and loans returned from Treasury.
• Ensures all loan files are labeled in accordance with the Bureau's records management requirements.
• Maintain an accurate filing system for all loan records.
• Prepare file boxes and arrange for shipment to archives.
