Agricultural Assistants aide Graders during sampling procedures and other miscellaneous inspection tasks at assigned facilities with high work volume. Duties may include assisting in sampling, PLI tagging, operating grading equipment, sorting samples, tagging samples, picking up samples at sites and cleaning and organization of facilities.
This is a seasonal position lasting until peanut season ends.
Other info:
- A reliable, insured vehicle (this person may be asked to do some mill running from time to time). That means driving to the mill and picking up white, 5 gallon buckets of peanuts and bringing them back to the grading station.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Available to work on Saturday's from time to time.
- Available to cover a shift at the mill (after being trained of course). Shifts at Algrano are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and at Portales Select from 6 AM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 6 AM.
- Able to follow directions.
- Able to get along with people.
Job Type: Full-time
