What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Control Officer position at ITSQuest, Inc.?
ITSQuest is looking for an individual interested in opportunity as Animal Control Officer in the las Cruces area. Will be responsible to enforce animal control ordinances, capture and restrain varies strays, wild or unwanted animals. Additional duties include data entry, document management, filing reports, conduct investigations, respond to calls, testify in court proceedings and sanitation of equipment & cages.
Must be comfortable working around potential aggressive animals
Schedule may vary week to week between shifts : 7am-3pm, 10am-6pm and 1pm-9pm.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
-At least 6 months of full time work experience in professional care & handling of animals in law enforcement position, jailer or relevant military experience
-Must have a valid Class D driver's license and acceptable driving record
-Bilingual English / Spanish is preferred
A minimum of one year work experience in any professional care and handling of kenneled animals, codes enforcement, law enforcement, jailer or relevant military experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
