Position Summary
Assembles water treatment systems, including mechanical, plumbing and electrical components, partially or completely, working at / on shop floor and at benches.
Essential Responsibilities
Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following drawings, photographs and verbal instructions. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Removes small quantities of metal with drills, hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts. Operates drill, drill presses, band saw, pipe threading machine, PVC pipe / fittings bonding SSTL Pipe fitting Assists production management Trains other employees Verifies correct components are used for assembly Performs hydro testing of components and completed RO systems Performs final testing of the completed RO systems
Position Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual must possess strong mechanical skills, ability to use drills, saws, wrenches, pipe threader etc.; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals); ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
