Position Summary
- Gather and document business requirements for reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
- Support corporate BI initiatives by working closely with BI architects, ensuring alignment with global ITT standards.
- Create, maintain, and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, SAP BW, and Excel.
- Extract, validate, and consolidate data from multiple ERP systems and SQL databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Perform functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting of BI solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with business users to understand key processes and translate needs into effective reporting solutions.
- Document business processes, data flows, and reporting requirements for clarity and future reference.
- Assist in training end-users on BI tools and providing ongoing support.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide webmaster duties and support: Responsibilities will include working with internal and external users to respond to questions, Incidents and change requests via ticketing system, and requests and performing administrative tasks related to the web application.
- Translate user needs and business requirements by writing documentation or editing functional specifications for current systems and reports, system changes, and/or system enhancements; present ideas/solutions focused and concisely.
- Collaborate with business partners, BRMs (Business Relationship Managers), project managers, developers, technical resources (vendors), and application support team to write precise, complete, functional design specifications for reports, forms, workflows, interfaces, and data mapping.
- Lead the effort to reverse engineer the business logic and document the functionality/business rules.
- Assess the existing report landscape and identify new opportunities to examine the data.
Position Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems or related field required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of MS SQL experience, including:
- Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- 2-4 years of experience in business analysis, data reporting, or BI solution development.
- Travels 10-20%.
