Job Description
Set-up Technician is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine set-up and operations of molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic equipment, and monitoring that equipment. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
Duties And Responsibilities
Set-up Technician is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine set-up and operations of molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic equipment, and monitoring that equipment. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Load, start up, perform mold changes, color changes and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines per setup instructions; Shut down machines when necessary.
- Perform visual and functional quality inspection at predetermined intervals to assure product quality meets standards.
- Perform material handling, monitor auxiliary equipment, and minor maintenance as required.
- Perform gaging as necessary to assure product meets dimensional standards.
- Correctly label products and palletize for transfer to next operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation to meet job requirements.
- Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to achieve production requirements and promote awareness.
- Communicate any Machine/Quality issues immediately to supervisor.
- Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Dahti Seating.
- Follows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001 and OSHA.
- Complete all additional tasks, as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus.
- Basic math skills and reasoning ability.
- Must be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift.
- Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.
- Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
