Job Description
Tend production equipment as required to meet production goals and quality standards. Monitor and adjust weights. Supply operators and equipment with component parts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform duties to assist in production wherever needed.
Maintain department housekeeping duties to keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, including sweeping.
Clean machines, mixers, equipment and facility.
Serve as backup for line set up. Relieve operators as needed.
Rework or follow proper disposal procedures on returned goods as required.
Perform Related Duties In Other Departments As Required.
Follow safety rules, especially in driving fork lift and all instructions and regulations regarding handling of hazardous materials and waste.
Use fork lift, mules, hand truck to move materials, products, drums, pallets. Use cleaning materials such as solvents, scrapers, brushes to clean machines and equipment.
Promote, support and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.
Skills And Competencies
Frequently lift 10 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs. Position requires reaching, pulling, and bending.
Ability to drive forklift in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to read, write and perform simple math including use of decimals and formulas..
Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment.
Ability to interpret MSDS's and understanding of Hazardous Identification System.
Ability to tolerate some exposure to chemicals.
