Buyer/Planner 1 (ICSP)

Job Description:

Position Summary:

As a Buyer/Planner, you will work in a team environment to execute the short and long-range planning and buying activities to achieve individual, team and divisional goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and monitoring of MRD demand outlooks for approximately $10 million dollars in spend across key product categories.
• Conduct weekly review of MRD targets to determine required planning actions for purchased finished goods, 3rd party packaged finished goods, and or components.
• Using MRD targets, identify supply risks and discuss options to mitigate with manager and provide summarized weekly report to management.
• Issue weekly purchase orders, monitor and ensure supplier delivery schedules are executed on time.
• Aid in part number and bill of material set up and maintenance in ERP to support Service and Parts.
• Maintain Service and Parts where used files and replacement items are databased.
• Maintain Service and Part end of life support dates in ERP.
• Collaborate with project teams to execute product development and annual PLS timelines to meet divisional and customer launch and ramp down timing.
• Drive efforts to achieve divisional metrics for Safety, Fill Rates, Margins and Inventory Levels.
• Aid in development of supplier scorecard data for use in supplier management / development discussions.
• Develop and use the ITW Toolbox in decision making and team projects.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in Supply Chain and or Procurement position.
• Bachelor’s degree with focus on Supply Chain, Business Administration or Operations required.
• Detailed oriented, with the exceptional ability to analyze data to drive decisions.
• Above average Excel skills with ability to perform advanced formulas, V-Lookups, pivot tables etc.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross functional team.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position within typical manufacturing working conditions.

Most time will be spent in an office environment. Occasionally the employee may be required to spend time in the manufacturing and distribution setting/locations and/or the corporate office in Glenview, IL. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing and distribution areas of the division. Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, and feel; frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and required to sit for long hours. This employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and hand-eye coordination. The employee can expect to operate a computer/computer screen for extended periods of time and other various pieces of office equipment.

Annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $79,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
