Position Summary
This role is responsible for developing and executing global best practices in manufacturing processes to drive performance improvements across the Construction segment’s global consumables operations. The position plays a key role in integrating new products and processes into manufacturing, ensuring seamless assimilation and optimization. This leader will provide global oversight and guidance to enhance nail manufacturing capabilities, leveraging the ITW 80/20 toolbox to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Leverages project management practices to deliver results on time, within budget, and to performance expectations
Actively addresses and resolves project-related conflicts by engaging relevant stakeholders
Develops and implements strategies to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing performance; leads related initiatives
Collaborates with global plant and engineering teams to achieve business and site-specific objectives
Evaluates and directs changes to manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements
Ensures that all fixtures and equipment—whether designed in-house or purchased—meet or exceed established safety standards
Partners with New Product teams to facilitate smooth transitions from product development to high-volume manufacturing
Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance metrics
Maintains clear and consistent communication with cross-functional teams, both domestic and international, including suppliers and validation groups
Provides mentorship and technical guidance to Engineers and Senior Engineers to support their professional development
Performs additional duties as required
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preference given to candidates with a background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement, with expertise in facility optimization, metal manufacturing, steel grades, and forming, cutting, and rolling technologies.
Demonstrated experience managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including scoping, development, and successful implementation.
Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams. Experience collaborating and influencing manufacturing managers, suppliers, operators, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive new product and process development.
Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability/Flexibility to work non-standard hours based on project needs and supported locations.
Ability to travel 50% ore more (90% domestic and 10% international)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel.

Annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
