Member Service Representative
Member Service Representatives (MSRs) play a key role in our company and are the face of IU Credit Union within the communities we serve.
MSRs build relationships with members by delivering an outstanding member experience, discovering needs, and connecting them with team members who can help address their financial needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop rapport and ensure a quality member experience : greet members by name, display a caring attitude, be responsive, timely and accurate with transactions and handle member issues with professionalism and patience.
- Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Answer member questions, research and resolve problems, and provide information on account balances, services, and products.
- Handle cash and maintain an accurate cash drawer, following policies and procedures for balancing.
- Use active listening skills to promote and cross-sell credit union products and services that will benefit the member.
- Adhere to credit union policies, procedures, and security measures to comply with regulations, protect member and Credit Union assets, and to deter and detect fraudulent activity.
Qualifications
- One or more years of customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
- Ability to adhere to understand and adhere to credit union policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
