Certification Details ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS - Basic Life Support Job Details Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30). Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11 / 30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS. On call one evening every week and every fourth weekend. Ablations, Implants-ICD, PPM, Structural Heart : TAVR, LAAO, STEMI call required. Also Interventional Radiology and Peripheral Vascular : ports, drains, biopsies, central lines, thrombectomy, PCI, dialysis access issues. Pre / Post area does bedside TEEs and cardioversions. Job Requirements ACLS BLS required Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy. Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source. Schedule Information On call one evening every week and every fourth weekend. Unit Specific Information Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Additional Details Effective 9 / 1 / 21, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted, however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctors note provided.
