- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
- MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
- IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.
- Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
- Shift Requirements: 3x12s ONLY
- Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
- Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
- Minimum 3 Year Experience
- Neuro Intensive Care Unit
- Level 1 Trauma Experience
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- ICP
- IV Starts
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.
- Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source. IN.gov.LICENSING: Task the Program Manager for approvals on license issues.

- NCC is a neuro critical care unit, will also care for medical, surgical and trauma ICU patients.
- Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
- Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
