Job Details
IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
Shift Requirements : 3x12s ONLY
Call-Ins : If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract. If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Weekends : Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
Charge coverage : Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 Year Experience; Will consider MedSurg RN with ICU and PCU patient experience with an additional two years.
Effective 9 / 1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.

Schedule Information

Unit Specific Information
Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
Staffing Ratios : PCU assignments are 1 : 4 and MedSurg assignments are 1 : 5-6.
Additional Details
Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.
ACLS and BLS are required certifications.
Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
