Job Details
IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
First Time Travelers Accepted
Shift Requirements : 3x12s ONLY
Locals : NOT accepted
Call-Ins : If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract. If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Weekends : Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need
Charge coverage : Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources
Floating Requirements : Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
Staffing Ratios : 1 : 4
Effective 9 / 1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.
Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11 / 30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
Job Requirements
Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.
Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source. IN.gov.LICENSING : Task the Program Manager for approvals on license issues.

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required for all candidates.
BLS - Basic Life Support is required for all candidates.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required as applicable.
NIH Stroke Certification is required for candidates at stroke-certified facilities.
