What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Kitchen Steward position at IUOE Training & Education Center?

· To assist in overall cleanliness of the “back of the house” areas, i.e., walk-ins, storage areas, hallways, floors, mats, locker rooms, restrooms, etc.
· Maintain equipment, china, glassware, and silverware.
· Wash equipment, pots, pans, china, glassware and silverware.
· Follow the direction of any reasonable task given by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or General Manager.
· Clean all areas of main kitchen and cafeteria.
· Must have knowledge and compliance of local and state health regulations/standards.
· Clean and maintain including supplies, restrooms daily.
· Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
· Attend all designated department and Training Center Meetings.
· Perform all other tasks as requested by the Sous Chef, Executive Chef and General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Able to read and communicate in English.
· Able to lift 50 pounds.
· Able to stand, stoop and bend for prolong periods of time (up to 2 hours)'
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
