SATR - Senior Apprenticeship Training Representative

SUMMARY

The Senior Apprenticeship Training Representative (SATR) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director by overseeing key field operations and ensuring the effective implementation of International Finishing Trades Institute (iFTI) / Labor Management Cooperation Initiative (LMCI) programs. Acting as a daytoday liaison between the Executive Director and fieldbased Trades Specialists the SATR ensures that training initiatives certifications and partnerships are consistently executed to the highest standards across all affiliates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide guidance to field staff (Trade Specialists) helping prioritize travel plans and coordinating assistance to local affiliates.
  • Ensure that all 3

party certifications and industry programs are effectively implemented at the affiliate level aligning with IUPAT / iFTI / LMCI organizational standards.

Program Implementation

  • Collaborate with Executive Director to ensure field staff execution of 90day action plan and metrics tied to convention resolutions are on track.
  • Partner with the Project Coordinator to track progress maintain resource alignment and address emerging issues in realtime.
  • Partner with Director of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure training programs align with 3

    • party requirements and meet affiliate requests.

    Affiliate Support & Auditing

  • Conduct affiliate needs assessments focusing on continuous improvement and best practices
  • Oversee affiliate performance guiding the rollout of improvement plans (e.g. ATR 101 201 and 301) and providing troubleshooting or emergency response when necessary.
  • Audit field staff responsiveness to affiliate requests and iFTI / IUPAT program implementation and in maintaining Department of Labor requirements for affiliate funds / JATCs.
  • Collaborate with Trade Specialists to assist in affiliate COE efforts and instructor evaluations ensuring all relevant regulations and organizational guidelines are followed.

    • Industry & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Assist the Executive Director in managing relationships with industry stakeholders including vendors manufacturers and technical organizations.
  • Represent iFTI / LMCI at tradeshows and events assess ROI and coordinate local participation.

    • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong ability to coach field staff oversee schedules and manage project deadlines
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a focus on relationshipbuilding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable adopting new technologies for communication and tracking.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 85%) in support of affiliates.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must be an IUPAT journeylevel tradesperson.
  • Prior supervisory of leadership experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • party traderelated certifications and Health and Safety Certifications strongly preferred.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Working environment will be a combination of office work and fieldwork. The individual selected will be expended to travel approximately 85% as a component of this position.
