What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Call RN position at IV Care Options?
Community Hospice of Vidalia is currently searching for full-time ON-CALL RN to provide end-of-life care to home hospice patients in their last stages of life. Qualified RNs will be caring, compassionate, and patient and will enjoy providing education and care to both patients and families. Qualified RNs will communicate well with an interdisciplinary team and will be motivated and self-driven. Position requires travel up to 60 miles from Vidalia. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Does require nighttime driving.
The On-Call RN is available after hours and every other weekend for hospice admissions, pronouncements, and high-acuity home visits. Primary hours for this position are 4:00PM until 8:30AM, though there is some flexibility with scheduled admissions. This RN may work 40 hours in a pay period or may only work 10 hours in a pay period. Due to the nature of the position, this is difficult to predict; however, this RN is on-call and available, when needed, during the stated hours. This position is ideal for an RN accustomed to working night shifts.
