ABRA by Iverson Auto is seeking a skilled and motivated Body Shop Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, the Body Shop Estimator plays a critical role in providing accurate repair estimates, managing customer interactions, and ensuring a seamless repair process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and appraise customer vehicles to determine the cost of repairs for damages, whether billed as an insurance claim or customer expense.
- Estimate repair costs, including supplies, parts, and labor, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and suppliers to establish an effective repair plan.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations to customers regarding their repair estimates, expected return times, and payment options, including deductibles.
- Monitor repair status, completion timelines, and customer communications to ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Conduct spot checks of completed repairs to ensure quality and minimize the potential for comebacks.
- Reconcile and prepare final invoices, ensuring they match approved estimates.
- Assist in tendering cash and credit transactions accurately, and ensure all documentation is timely and efficiently submitted to the respective insurance companies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive estimator.
- Strong knowledge of major insurance program protocols and the ability to upload estimates and images according to standards.
- Previous experience with CCC Pathways / CCC One software is highly preferred.
- I-Car is beneficial; automotive certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high quality of work.
- Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle high volumes under pressure and maintain the highest ethical standards.
