IVERTIX, a rapidly growing AI, Data, and Cloud solutions provider, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to drive its expansion in the federal and Department of Defense (DoD) sectors. The ideal candidate will have an extensive network within federal agencies and DoD, coupled with a deep understanding of the 8(a) government contracting and proposal process.

Key Responsibilities : Client Acquisition and Strategic Relationship Development :

  • Drive client acquisition and build strategic relationships with federal and DoD clients to secure new business opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify business leads aligned with IVERTIX’s AI, Data, and Cloud solutions growth strategy.

Strategic Planning and Market Expansion :

  • Develop and execute forward-thinking strategies to expand IVERTIX’s footprint in the government space.
  • Conduct detailed market research to identify emerging trends and high-potential growth areas within federal and DoD sectors.
  • Proposal Management :

  • Lead end-to-end government proposal development, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to craft tailored, impactful solutions.
  • Pipeline Development and Tracking :

  • Build and maintain a robust business development pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline progress, win rates, and performance metrics to leadership.
  • Collaboration and Leadership :

  • Partner with IVERTIX leadership to shape and implement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align client needs with IVERTIX’s capabilities and innovative solutions.
  • Qualifications : Experience :

  • Minimum 8–10 years in business development roles within government contracting.
  • Proven success in securing federal and DoD contracts.
  • Expertise in leveraging 8(a) small business opportunities.
  • Skills and Knowledge :

  • Deep understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle, including GWACs and IDIQs.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, and CIO-SP3.
  • Exceptional proposal writing and management skills.
  • Experience with or knowledge of modern AI, Data, and Cloud technologies is highly desirable.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Certifications (Preferred) :

  • APMP or DAWIA certifications are a plus.
  • Compensation :

  • Base Salary : $110,000–$140,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
  • Performance Bonus : Up to 3% of total new business revenue generated annually.
  • Preferred Location :

    While this position is remote, preference will be given to candidates located in the DMV area (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia), enabling closer proximity to federal clients and events.
