Infertility Experienced Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities:
- Ultrasound Procedures:
- Perform both monitoring and non-monitoring ultrasounds for ovulation induction, frozen embryo transfers, and embryo transfer evaluations.
- IVF Cycle Management:
- Provide detailed medication instructions for IVF cycles, including schedules, dosages, and administration.
- Assist in coordination and support of IVF cycle programs.
- Patient Management:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for fertility patients.
- Provide ongoing care, including follow-up on ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
- Women’s Health Education:
- Offer general education and counseling to patients regarding women’s health, fertility treatments, and overall wellness.
- Physical Examinations:
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams, including history-taking, general and pelvic exams, cultures, IUI, uterine sounding, and endometrial biopsies.
- Donor Patient Care:
- Complete medical history, ultrasounds, physical exams, and lab work for donor patients.
- Procedures and Treatments:
- Perform procedures like sonohysterograms, sonohysterosalpingograms, and first-trimester OB ultrasounds.
- Administer phlebotomy and medications as needed.
- Patient Communication:
- Manage phone and email triage, addressing patient questions and concerns.
- Provide referrals to MDs when necessary based on findings.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, embryologists, counselors, and administrative staff, to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for support staff and trainees.
- Clinical Documentation:
- Document patient care services accurately using clinical software and record-keeping systems.
- Complete required paperwork for patient billing and other administrative tasks.
Position Requirements:
- Education and Licensing:
- Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant without limitations.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioner candidates).
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in women’s health is preferred. Experience in fertility or reproductive medicine is highly valued.
- Previous ultrasound experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using office equipment (computer, fax, copier) and clinical software.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and manage patient information efficiently.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and a multidisciplinary team.
