Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: Somerset, NJ 

Position Responsibilities:   

• Manage and motivate staff to meet department and corporate objectives.
• Define and execute employee goals and objectives for direct reports.
• Manage inventory goods receipt processing for inbound shipments.
• Execute the physical receipt and electronic receipt in SAP.
• Manage the outbound shipment and invoicing process for inventory shipped to customer locations, including the physical packing, document preparation, and the SAP sales and invoicing processing.
• Manage the material handling and intra-company stock transfers from the Warehouse to Production departments. Ensure SAP stock transfer orders are executed.
• Perform research in SAP to resolve discrepancies related to inbound, outbound, or stock transfer orders.
• Manage the inventory cycle counting program for the site. Manage the inventory cycle count for the Warehouse and coordinate cycle counting with Production departments. Perform inventory adjustments in SAP, as needed.
• Monitor and manage Warehousing and Logistics key performance metrics -including Carrier On-time delivery, Warehousing Productivity, and Space Capacity/Utilization.
• Collaborate with internal Supply Chain department and external corporate representatives to meet project or customer expectations.
• Manage employee development and training for direct reports to meet and exceed department and corporate objectives.
• Ensure transportation coordination is executed for the on-time delivery of production materials and shipment of finished goods to customers.
• Support requests for information from Customs and Trade broker related to imported shipments from Europe.
• Implement and comply with all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Maintain working knowledge of SAP processing, relevant in the Warehousing and Logistics function.
• Implement process improvements (as required) associated with Warehousing, Storage, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Management. 

Your Qualifications:     

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) with concentration in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of ERP experience in Warehousing or Materials Management function. Knowledge of SAP IM/WM modules preferred. Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing/motivating employees in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, colleagues, direct reports, and supervisors.
• Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated abilities to resolve diverse problems, to understand the importance of resource management, and to complete critical tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to ensure compliance to applicable laws, guidelines, policies, procedures and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with people from all levels of the company and from different international or domestic facilities within the company.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

Physical Demands:  

• This position could be very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching during the workday. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Regularly required to talk and hear, both in-person and over the phone. Working in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise.
