What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Operations Leader position at IVP?
Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends. We are a seasonal facility, however, for the ideal candidate, the pay structure may include being paid even when IVP at The Beach House is not open.
IVP at The Beach House is a branch of IVP Colorado (Intermediate Volleyball Programs of Colorado). IVP hosts sand volleyball leagues and outdoor tournaments along the Front Range - Denver, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs. Our organization is composed of volleyball players and enthusiasts that have years of experience on both competitive and professional levels of volleyball play and training. We have organized leagues and tournaments where beginners will build a solid foundation of skill and fun but also for advanced players looking to sharpen their skills and tournament competition. IVP at The Beach House, in addition to being a volleyball facility, has its own on-premise bar and restaurant (The Beach House Bistro), hosts parties and events from small birthday parties to weddings and large corporate functions. It is the Marketing & Operations Coordinators job to manage and employees, customers, book parties, make sure rules of the facility are being communicated and followed. It will be your job
The Marketing & Operations Coordinator is an entry level managerial position. It is our goal for this individual move up to Manager by the end of the volleyball season. The person who will succeed in this position is a self-starter, a problem solver, a people person, is honest and cares just as much about customers satisfaction, as the happiness of your fellow employees. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily facility activities run smoothly and efficiently
- Manage staff performance including training, rules and policy compliance, and reprimanding employees when necessary.
- Find ways to enhance staff camaraderie or deescalate problems between staff members.
- Ensuring quality experience for all guests.
- Responsible for the management and organization of vendors and inventory.
- Keeping records of daily, weekly and monthly inventory, costs and revenues.
- Helping with marketing and business development campaigns.
- Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements based on that feedback.
- Make sure customers adhere to facility regulations, such as; no smoking/vaping outside, wearing wrist bands while playing volleyball, no kids after 7 pm, etc.
- Deescalate confrontational situations and remove those customers from the facility.
Requirements
- Work experience in an elevated restaurant and/or hospitality industry position. Work experience in a restaurant, assistant management or assistant management position preferred.
- Knowledge of volleyball is preferred
- Marketing background is preferred
- Bartending experience.
- Good math and reporting skills.
- Very strong computer skills.
- A customer service 1stattitude.
- Communication and team management abilities
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings, some week days and all IVP Tournament days.
- Highschool diploma is required. Individuals with a college degree, or currently seeking higher education or certifications in hospitality, marketing or business development areas are preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
