About The Role
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to market its services to specialty providers across IVX Health’s current and new markets to achieve revenue and growth targets within a specific geographical area. This individual will manage a field-based sales team across multiple markets focused on specialist provider offices and will be expected to provide leadership, sales management and coaching to drive provider referrals and patient encounters as the Company seeks to achieve its growth objectives. The Area Sales Manager will develop and execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and ensure the team meets or exceeds sales quotas.

Essential Job Functions
- Sales Leadership
- Oversee and manage the field sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure optimal performance
- Set clear performance goals and regularly evaluate team members' progress, providing constructive feedback and coaching via field ride along deep dives and other market meetings
- Develop and execute sales strategies to successfully attain referral and encounter targets across individual markets managed
- Forge strong partnerships with other market team members, promoting collaboration and synergy to drive operational and sales efficiency
- Collaborate with the region VPs to identify sales specific needs and develop tailored strategies and campaigns
- Territory Management
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and potential areas for improvement
- Support efforts to identify opportunities to partner with hospital systems and large healthcare providers to enhance market presence and gain market share
- Monitor referral trends and conversion rates, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective actions
- Identify, analyze, and monitor industry, regulatory, and market-based trends that affect provider dynamics
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical partners as well as key clients and accounts, ensuring high provider satisfaction
- Sales Performance and Reporting
- Leverage internal systems, including an EMR and CRM system, to monitor sales activities, track referral progress, and assess areas of opportunity
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and presentations, providing insights into sales performance and market dynamics
- Team Training and Development
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding sales representatives to maintain highly skilled and motivated sales team members
- Hold sales team members accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives and execute effective performance redirection/management when needed in conjunction with company tools and resources provided
- Complete no less than two field coaching ride along per direct report monthly and ensure overall field time is no less than four days per week

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding and working knowledge of industry, market trends, and provider customer types is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of managed care plans, insurance carriers, referrals, and precertification procedures, as well as documentation guidelines
- Competitive spirit, with customer-focused attitude
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external employees at all levels
- Knowledge and proficiency with standard office software applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Strong proficiency with sales and CRM software tools, as well as proficiency in using technology for communication and data analysis, such as Tableau
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, healthcare management, or related field
- 3 years’ experience in provider healthcare business development, ideally in a referral-based business
- Experience with managing a team including sales, account, and sales operations staff preferred but not required
- Proven track record of success in service-based, provider sales environment, including but not limited to improved rep performance over time, increased market share capture from existing referral sources and the development of novel selling strategies
- Proven experience building, managing, tracking, and executing upon a sales pipeline of prospects
