Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Art Teacher to teach art classes to middle & high school students. This teacher will be responsible for designing & implementing engaging art curricula that cultivate creativity & technical skills while encouraging students to explore various artistic media & styles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & deliver age-appropriate art curricula for middle & high school students.
- Foster an inclusive & positive learning environment that promotes artistic expression.
- Teach techniques in a variety of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, ceramics, digital art, & mixed media.
- Encourage creative problem-solving and critical thinking through art projects.
- Maintain open communication with parents & guardians regarding student progress.
- Uphold school policies & maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Art Education (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Previous experience teaching art at the middle and/or high school level preferred.
- Strong artistic skills in a variety of mediums & techniques.
- Excellent classroom management & communication skills.
- Passion for arts education & a commitment to student growth and development.
