Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone to work in a toddler classroom of 9 children, collaboratively with a co-teacher. We prefer the candidate is EEC certified. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role is crucial in guiding children through their early learning experiences, helping them build foundational skills that will last a lifetime.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials.
- Stay informed about early childhood education best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Experience in daycare or toddler care settings is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education or related field is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with children in various capacities such as babysitting or nannying.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of first aid and child safety practices is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
