Our Las Vegas location is seeking a full-time Jr. Embryologist. A Jr. Embryologist in an infertility center plays a vital role in assisting with reproductive procedures and ensuring the successful development of embryos. This position involves working closely with patients, medical staff, and laboratory equipment to facilitate various assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
Key Responsibilities:
· Gamete Handling: Collect and prepare eggs and sperm for fertilization.
· IVF Procedures: Perform in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
· Embryo Culture: Monitor and assess embryo development, selecting the best embryos for transfer.
· Cryopreservation: Freeze and thaw eggs, sperm, and embryos for future use.
· Diagnostic Testing: Conduct genetic and chromosomal testing on embryos.
· Laboratory Maintenance: Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment.
· Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all procedures and patient outcomes.
· Patient Interaction: Communicate with patients and medical staff regarding treatment plans and progress.
· Research and Development: Contribute to ongoing research in the field of embryology.
· Ethical Compliance: Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards in reproductive medicine.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Embryology, or a related field.
· Experience: Clinical Embryology Laboratory preferred, although not required
· Skills:
o Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and organizational skills.
o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
o Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and new technologies.
