Reporting dually to the Chief Revenue Cycle Officer and Chief Payer Strategist as a member of Ivy’s RCM organization, the Manager of Business Intelligence core competencies will include but not limited to the following:
REVENUE CYCLE DATA MANAGEMENT:
● In collaboration with Chief of Revenue Cycle Management & Chief Financial Officer design and develop reporting for Ivy’s revenue cycle performance metrics. Provide easy to understand reporting for complex issues that cross multiple systems, centers, and functions. Exposure to all functional areas in scope within the revenue cycle operation; patient access, charge capture, coding, patient billing, collections, and customer service, etc.
· Build fee schedule analyses and maintains all fee schedules in relevant systems
· Analyze transactions and identify variances using payment variance software, payer websites, and other online tools
· Understanding of the healthcare payer industry and business processes
FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL OPERATIONS SUPPORT:
● Assists with implementation of an effective suite of revenue cycle reporting tools to identify revenue cycle opportunities, measure the effect of change, and support improved decision making
● Use sound knowledge of revenue cycle operations and strategic initiatives to translate business requirements into reporting tools and dashboards
● Enable the use of new technologies to assist in identifying root cause and emerging trends and communicates the potential impact of proposed solutions
● Provides oversight and management of all billing systems and clearinghouse functions and processes
● Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Finance, Operations, and Information Systems, ensuring that applications/technology/workflows function properly
● Collaborate with business subject matter experts and data engineers to analyze large amounts of data, find patterns, and create scalable models that track relevant KPIs and industry-standard metrics
● Strong ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions
● Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Extensive experience with data analytics and financial modeling within the healthcare industry
● Strong analytical and financial skills to solve complex business problems
● Self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
● Knowledge of revenue cycle operations, reimbursement methodologies, managed care contracting techniques, current healthcare issues, healthcare terminology, statistical reporting, and healthcare financial systems with specific knowledge of information technology as it relates to revenue cycle and relational database systems
● History of operational excellence, exceptional analytical skills and execution abilities
● Non-political, get-it-done attitude and approach
● Strong attention to detail and project management skills
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
● Five (5) years of related experience, education/training, OR a bachelor’s degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training. Related experience: RCM Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting in healthcare.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Advance experience working with large data sets, multiple data sources and interpreting complex data to create meaningful information
● Experience reading, interpreting and applying contract language to data sets, modeling for managed contract negotiations
· Familiarity of SQL for querying and manipulating databases
· Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
