Patient Financial Counselor

Dallas IVF is looking for a full-time Patient Financial Counselor to join our growing team at our Frisco location. This is an opportunity to work in the innovative and exciting field of infertility care and be a part of an extraordinary and committed staff.

Applicants should have AT LEAST ONE YEAR previous experience in financial coordination in a healthcare environment and be a high school graduate.

Responsibilities of the position include:
-Accurately verifies medical benefits
-Prepares financial information and educates patients on individual treatment plans for given diagnosis
-Coordinates approval process for patients to insure billing policies and procedures are followed
-Meets with patients to discuss potential out-of-pocket expenses related to services proposed and rendered and assists in location of resources or assistance programs for which uninsured patients may be eligible
-Advises physicians, administrator and other medical staff regarding insurance benefit and financial clearance status of patients
-Complies with all commercial and government requirements for payment of charges
-Coordinates financial/registration process for cases and coordinates flow of information to appropriate departments regarding patients
-Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
-Work as part of a team with emphasis on communication
-Maintain detailed records in a fast paced environment-Other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· 2 years of insurance verification experience in a healthcare setting
· 1 years of medical billing experience
· Knowledge of the different types of insurance plans (HMO, PPO, EPO, etc.)
· Ability to communicate with patients
· Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
· Excellent written communication skills

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

Salary : $19 - $25
