Ivy Hall Academy seeks to hire a homeroom elementary teachers who buy in and fully support the Ivy Hall mission, values, and direction.

Our small classes, starting at 12-20 students allow teachers a unique opportunity to meet the academic, mental and emotional needs of each student. Responsibilities
- Present weekly lessons in a comprehensive manner and use technological means to facilitate learning. MUST have a familiarity and strong understanding of technology and using on line curriculum.
- Must follow Gifted and Talented curriculum, written in Project Based Learning format.
- Must attend trainings in Leader in Me, the Brain science of learning, Building thinking classrooms and certifications in the summer as needed, as paid time.
- Provide individualized instruction and be able to differentiate for each student using blended learning models, project based learning and brain science.
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.) using project-based learning
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback to students and parents
- Communicate clearly and frequently with all parents in order to maintain a high level of trust; must use weekly app to share learning plans, homework, activities and calendar events with parents
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events including field trips- Must plan 3-4 field trips a year to connect classroom learning with experiential learning
- Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
Skills
- Proven experience as a teacher- must be able to maintain classroom control as well as teach high academic rigor
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures

- Bachelor's degree required, degree in teaching or in a specialized subject preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
