Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Assisted Living
Job Type: Part-time | PRN (Per Diem)Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team in an assisted living setting. The PCA will provide essential support to residents, assisting with daily activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life.
We offer scheduled shifts as well as per diem (as-needed) shifts with extra pay. Availability and scheduling will be discussed during the interview.
Available Shifts:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight Shift)

Key Responsibilities:Resident Care & Support:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote resident well-being.
- Respond promptly to resident requests and needs.
Health Monitoring & Safety:
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) as needed.
- Assist residents with memory care needs, engaging them in cognitive-stimulating activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Follow infection control and hygiene protocols to ensure resident safety.
Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications as needed (Medication Certification preferred but not required; training available).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings preferred but not required.
- Medication Certification preferred but not required; will train.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
