The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of hotels, ensuring optimal asset value and long-term profitability. This role serves as a key liaison between hotel ownership, management teams, and Ivy Hospitality leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations to enhance performance. The Asset Manager plays a crucial role in identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost control, and operational efficiencies while ensuring that ownership expectations are met.

 


 

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze and monitor financial reports, including profit and loss statements, forecasts, and budgets, to track hotel performance.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize revenue, profitability, and asset value.

  • Assess and evaluate capital expenditures to ensure investments align with financial goals.

  • Serve as the primary contact for hotel owners, delivering regular updates on performance and strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate with General Managers, Regional Leaders, and Corporate Teams to align operations with ownership objectives.

  • Assist in preparing ownership reports, business reviews, and investment analyses.

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Work closely with the Revenue Management and Operations teams to optimize pricing and cost efficiencies.

  • Support the VP of Owner Success in developing and executing long-term asset strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, investment policies, and operational best practices.

  • Monitor and track portfolio performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

  • Assist in the underwriting and financial analysis of potential acquisitions or dispositions.

  • Participate in ownership meetings and strategy sessions, providing insight on market dynamics and financial trends.

  • Work cross-functionally with key departments to ensure hotel operations align with financial goals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in hotel asset management, finance, real estate investment, or operations.

Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing financial statements, budgeting, and investment evaluations.

Proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and performance reporting.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with owners, operators, and internal teams.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting tools, and property management systems.

Ability to sit for extended periods while analyzing reports and participating in meetings.

Occasional travel required to conduct site visits and meet with ownership groups.
