Ballet/Tap Instructor

Ivy Hue Dance Company provides youth with a versatile and sound foundation in dance education as well as opportunities to engage creatively and perform. We offer lessons in dance forms such as Ballet, & Tap, Hip Hop, Poms & more.

We currently have openings for a Ballet/Tap Combo class instructor in our Alsip and Pleasant Dale locations.

Classes scheduled for this season are Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30pm each class. Age ranges are 4-10 yr old. This is a part time position with a commitment of Jan- May with a Spring performance in May and could continue through summer.

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation to Pleasant Dale, IL.

- Must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children.

- Dance experience in Ballet/Tap is required

- Must have EXCELLENT communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision to solve problems, and act quickly. Demonstrate initiative, dependability, good judgment, leadership, management activities, and the capability to work in a positive manner with the general public.

- Applicant should be a self-sufficient individual willing to run dance classes on their own. Applicant should be willing to collaborate with peers and company director on class performances and changes

- Must have a positive and growth mindset

- Must be well organized, prompt, and have excellent time management skills. Must understand to be on time means to be early.

- Must be willing and able to pass a background screening.

- Must be prepared to provide past dance videos, references, or proof of dance experience

Pay: $75.00 - $120.00 per week
