The Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets will report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in the Accounting team. This position is based at our corporate office in White Plains, NY, and offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.

Job Description
The Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets will report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in the Accounting team. This position is based at our corporate office in White Plains, NY, and offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Record and maintain accurate records of all Fixed Asset transactions.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of CAPEX spend budgets.
- Track and document company assets in accordance with accounting standards.
- Prepare reports and presentations on capital expenditure data for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather expenditure data and support financial planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to all fixed assets and capex spend.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support all month-end close related fixed asset tasks, including but not limited to, asset capitalization, depreciation and monthly reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all capital expenditure transactions and approvals.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
- Knowledge of Great Plains / Workday a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Team player that can collaborate with other teams in the organization
